Big Crowd Checks out Puget Sound Solar Headquarters Up Close!

Builders, architects, designers, craftsman with deep green focus showcased their sustainable design and construction projects in public tours in Seattle and on the Eastside.

Saturday + Sunday, April 16 and 17, Open daily 10 am to 4 pm

Project Sites on the Tour

Twenty-seven projects were featured on the 2011 Green Home Tour including our home and many other great projects. You could see them all over the two day extravaganza, or plan to see just the projects in your neighborhood. However you planned your tour, you saw excellent examples of how simple it can be to incorporate green building strategies that improve energy efficiency and indoor air quality into every remodel project and all new construction. Thank you Touristas!  We had a great time meeting all of you and sharing our ‘secrets’!

About The Author - Jeremy Smithson

Started Puget Sound Solar in 2001 with 30 years of construction contracting experience, and a desire to turn Seattle on to solar energy. Achieving NABCEP certification in 2004, Jeremy believes that our customers often follow a path similar to the one he took, starting out with solar daydreaming, then progressing to education on the subject, and eventually leading to action. In addition to leading the company he also does some teaching and speaking engagements about various aspects of solar energy, and experiments relentlessly with various solar, energy efficiency, and electric vehicle projects.
