Last week 28 small businesses were chosen, out of 297 nominees, as finalists for a King County Small Business Award.  Puget Sound Solar and three other businesses made it to the finals in the Green/Sustainable Small Business category, one of which was long-time customer Dwell Development.  The award went to 3R Technology, a company that refurbishes computers and other gear for use by non-profits and other small businesses.

We were honored with a nice trophy, and public recognition of some of the work that our company has done over the years.  The team from King County produced a video outlining the growth of our company and highlighting the work we have done.  Bravo!  Well done, team.

About The Author - Jeremy Smithson

Started Puget Sound Solar in 2001 with 30 years of construction contracting experience, and a desire to turn Seattle on to solar energy. Achieving NABCEP certification in 2004, Jeremy believes that our customers often follow a path similar to the one he took, starting out with solar daydreaming, then progressing to education on the subject, and eventually leading to action. In addition to leading the company he also does some teaching and speaking engagements about various aspects of solar energy, and experiments relentlessly with various solar, energy efficiency, and electric vehicle projects.
