REC Solar has a significant history in the solar industry however many people, even in the solar industry in Washington are unaware of the facility in Moses Lake which made polysilicon for solar cells.

 

The facility was mothballed due to a combination of changes in the marketplace and the US’s trade war with China however a combination of corporate fundraising, tax settlements and the emergence of new possible manufacturing partners is giving the company strong reasons to consider re-opening the facility.
