An Anniversary Gift From Jay – Historic Climate Legislation

Pam Burton, Governor Jay Inslee and Jeremy Smithson celebrate the historic legislation.

Many of you who’ve come to know Pam Burton and Jeremy Smithson, the owners of Puget Sound Solar, (PSS) over the past several decades, understand their passion for fighting the Climate Crisis.

On May 17th, as part of celebrating their 24th anniversary, Pam and Jeremy attended Governor Inslee’s signing of the historic legislation to get Washington State to net zero carbon emissions by 2050!

SB 5126, The Climate Commitment Act (CCA), is truly groundbreaking legislation. It includes a cap on carbon with an investment in clean energy while being guided by Environmental Justice and its integrated with a transportation funding package, also targeting carbon emissions.
