We’re excited to be part of the 2021 NW Idea House, a project in Woodinville showcasing the latest and greatest building technologies, including solar. The NW Idea House is the result of a partnership between Lochwood-Lozier Custom Homes Remodeling & Landscaping and 425 Magazine.

There’s several charity components to the NW Idea House with Bellevue Lifespring (feeding children), Drive to a Cure (Parkinson’s Research) and the Alzheimer’s’ Association with Lochwood-Lozier committing to donate $30,000 to these worthy causes.

Puget Sound Solar designed and installed a 5.78kW solar photovoltaic system comprised of 17 340watt Hanwha QCells solar panels paired with 17 Enphase IQ7+ microinverters installed on the portion of the roof which will receive the most sunlight. The eventual homeowners can add more solar and battery back up to the home, if desired, as several roof planes are still available. Because of the rural location of the site and the orientation of the roof planes, the decision was made to install a smaller, “starter” system as there are some shading issues.

There are some really neat features in the home that you can check out on Lochwood-Lozier’s webpage. They’re providing ongoing updates and photos of the project, highlighting the internal and external features making this an exceptional residence for the eventual homebuyer. We’re eager to see the home once it’s completed and we’ll provide more updates as the project progresses and will let people know when the home is open for touring.

In the meantime, if you’re thinking about going solar and/or want energy storage solutions for your home, please give us a call at 206-706-1931 or fill out our contact form and tell us about your project.
