Are you a solar installer with a sales background? Like to get off the roof this summer? Likewise, if you are in technical sales and you have a working knowledge of the NEC and some solar experience, Puget Sound Solar is looking for qualified technical sales people to help handle a strong flow of leads.
The ideal candidate will know the basics of PV system design, and will be able to answer customer questions on the spot. Our sales representatives are responsible for fielding initial calls, qualifying the site and customer and scheduling site visits.
Duties at the site visit include:
Get to know the customer and answer questions
Obtain site information, such as utility bills
Ladder wrangling and roof walking
Take measurements and identify array locations
Do shading analysis with our tools
Determine how the system will be interconnected, paying attention to codes
Produce system designs using our tools and/or modify designs produced by our team
Present proposed options to customer and close sale if possible
Duties after the site visit:
Revise any proposed options as necessary
Follow up with customer
Make the sale!
Update all info in database
Hand off to Project Manager
We Would Like You to Have:
2 years residential PV sales experience.
Demonstrated experience with PV system design.
PV installation experience and other construction experience.
NABCEP Certification in either Technical Sales or Installing is a plus.
Working knowledge of NEC is essential, you'll need it.
Experience with AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Excel; proficiency is a plus.
Experience with jurisdictions and permitting is a plus.
