Energy off-sets, and some help from the State

Tacoma Public Utilities’ community solar project enabled customers to join together to support local solar energy.

We built four, 75-kilowatt projects on their main warehouse on Union St. Tacoma Power customers who bought solar units will receive an annual Washington state solar production incentive payment, as well as payment for the electricity produced from the project.

Inverters, panelboards, switchgear and transformer were installed in the Warehouse on pallet rack structures.  (20) string inverters were utilized for the output of the 1,081 PV modules on the roof.
